What is LivingWell Health Center
We are a Direct Primary Care (DPC) that operates on a simple and transparent membership-based model that prioritizes the patient-provider relationship and emphasizes accessibility, affordability, and quality care
A Direct Primary Care Practice does not require insurance to be seen but rather operates on a transparent monthly or annual fee that allows you direct and unlimited access to your healthcare provider either by phone, email, telehealth, or in person appointment.
LivingWell Health Center offers primary care services, extended appointment times, same-day or next-day availability, low cost labs, referrals as needed, prescription management.
Meet Our Providers
Valarie Langel
APRN, CNP, MSN, CDP, WCC
Valarie currently resides in Pataskala, Ohio. She boasts a distinguished academic journey that emphasizes her commitment to excellence in nursing. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, followed by a Master’s Degree in Nursing with a specialization in Family Practice from Otterbein University in 2014. Further enhancing her expertise, she pursued a specialized certification in wound care and dementia. She has also recently published a guidebook to support caregivers for loved ones with dementia. As a nurse practitioner for the last decade she has provided primary care in the post- acute, long-term care, and senior living facilities before moving into a Clinical Management position where she oversaw clinical care in the skilled nursing setting. She has also provided care in urgent care and gastroenterology practices. Valarie is a mom to two great children and wife of another local small business owner Matt langel. She is excited to offer affordable quality healthcare in her community.
Karen Posey
APRN, CNP, MSN, BS Ed
Karen Posey is a Family Care Nurse Practitioner who began her practice with cardiology in Zanesville, OH in 2015. She began working at this location upon graduating with her Master’s degree in Nursing from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2015. Prior to her advanced degree, she provided acute care in the Intensive Care Unit at Genesis Healthcare in Zanesville. She holds dual undergraduate degrees in both Education and Nursing from the Ohio State University and Mount Carmel College of Nursing. While earning her degrees she participated in Sigma Theta Tau due to her academic achievements and had the privilege of earning a spot with the Ohio State National Equestrian Team. Karen has been providing care to seniors in Ohio for the past 4 years in her prior position as an Advanced Practice Provider before stepping into the role of Manager of Clinical Education overseeing a group of Advanced Practice Providers specifically overseeing quality and education. Karen is the mother to four amazing children and spends her spare time with her family in the outdoors whenever possible. She is excited about continuing to offer quality healthcare in a transparent and direct care model with LivingWell Health Center.

Weight Loss Management
- Z $250 initial visit
- ZMeet with licensed provider and coach for a personal one on one evaluation to discuss the options available to you for weight loss. Develop an individualized plan that works well for your lifestyle. Meet in follow up by telehealth visit or in person to assist with coaching during your weight loss journey.
Hormone Replacement Therapy
- Z initial consult $125 plus labs additional $80-$200
- ZTired of providers not listening to your symptoms or blowing symptoms off rather than addressing the root cause? Consider a hormone level evaluation to determine if HRT is right for you. Several options are available. Let’s see what is right for you and your lifestyle.
Testosterone replacement
- ZMen, struggling with sluggish energy, loss of muscle mass, poor libido and erectile dysfunction? Schedule with one of our providers today to review your labs and see if testosterone replacement would be a solution for your symptoms.
Male and Female pellet hormone therapy
- ZMeet with a provider to discuss this new method of hormone replacement. Visits only q 3-6 months and often symptom relief is reported shortly following insertion.
Dementia Care Services
- Z$200 Initial evaluation and assessment
- ZMeet with one of our providers for an evaluation of yourself or a loved one where our providers will take you through a thorough dementia evaluation. Supplement your primary care provider or provide your insurance company with additional evaluation when needed. This assessment will provide you the tools to assist your loved one with care or provide the diagnosis needed to streamline your current therapy.

Sports physicals
- Z $40 (this service is included if you are a member). Please bring any additional paperwork required.
Employee physicals
